Essential functions:

  • Maintain a social media editorial calendar; look ahead for opportunities that should be leveraged and determine appropriate channels and messaging. 
  • Promote news media stories, blogs, events. 
  • Produce photo and video content for each respective restaurant/shop. 
  • Write copy and maintain brand voice. 
  • Interact with customers/followers and respond to incoming requests in a timely manner.

Competencies:

  • Has advanced knowledge of social media platforms, most importantly Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Detail oriented with a keen visual eye. Photography experience a plus. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Team player and excellent collaborator. 
  • A self-starter who can work within varying and tight timeframes. 
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or Indesign a plus.

Expected hours of work:

Full-time including occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Essential Functions

  • Research and maintain the highest standard of curated selection by keeping up with publications (via industry magazines, book publications, and others), market requirements based on sales history input by the Director of Operation and sales associates, and market trends.
  • Craft collections and select the best editions of each book available in keeping with the standards of the Blue Point organization
  •  Assist with research on special orders that may be difficult to find through the usual channels.
  • Provide completed requisition to enable books to be ordered, which will include, but may not be limited to, ISBN, Book Title, Author, Qty, Publisher, and Distribution.
  • The requisition must be presented in a timely fashion to accommodate logistics, lead times, and internal processes for convenient purchases.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally through all means of communication (Email, phone, in meetings, chat)

We are looking for a dynamic individual with a positive and professional attitude. An individual with a can-do attitude that takes pride in the level of hospitality they provide. Successful candidates must work well with others.

Essential Functions

  • Open, close and operate cash registers and POS systems.
  • Sell wine, merchandise and assist our guests to meet or exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Provide service and hospitality that exceeds our guests’ expectations.
  • Be informed about and promote our sister properties.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with good presentation skills, and professional personal appearance.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including both weekend days (Friday and Saturday), some holidays and evenings.
  • Ability to remain standing and actively working for the full shift.
  • Assist in maintaining The Wardroom market, including organization, inventory, and stocking supplies.
  • Passionate about wine and desire to become knowledgeable about our wines, our gourmet grocery items, cheeses and charcuterie, as well as our bistro offerings.
  • Exemplary customer service skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift and squat 50 lbs (a case of wine).
  • Must be able to stand on feet up to 8 hours, climb stairs, bend, twist, and work in a small area with other employees.
